Job Description

GRAVEYARD SHIFT position, Mon-Fri, 10pm-6am. TRAINING

SCHEDULE:

Mon-Fri, 5am-1:30pm.

Position Summary:

In the investment casting process, this role dips wax patterns/structures in ceramic slurry. This role requires precision, ability to read and follow instructions, and physical endurance. This entry-level position includes on-the-job training and may advance to other roles; if computer skills are evident, cross-training to robotics controls may occur.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follows all prescribed safety rules and regulations. Wears safety glasses with side shields and steel-toed shoes at all times. Wears provided coveralls to protect street garments from particulate. May be required to wear dust mask.
  • Reads shell process instructions pertaining to each production part number.
  • Prepares basic molds for further processing according to instructions. Lifts assemblies from racks and inserts handles to facilitate clipping/washing.
  • Immeres wax setup in appropriate washing solutions according to written instructions.
  • Immerse mold in the proper slurry, applying the first coat to the mold per instructions.
  • Replenishes slurry mixture following specified procedures, mixing solids and liquids into tanks.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area; sweep, wipe, wash, scrap, remove process waste.
  • Periodically performs turnaround functions; cleaning and restoring tanks and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervision or as required by the position.
Experience & Education

Requires the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions normally acquired by completion of high school or GED. Training is on the job.

Required Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follow and interpret instructions on technique cards, code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to maintain order and chain of custody on shell molds.
Desired Skills
  • Sincere desire to learn and broaden knowledge base thereby increasing value to the company.
  • Accurately completes logs and records in a timely manner.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in conditions with exposure to noise, dust, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods.
  • Deliver technical support (understand/use related data and systems) as needed.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Demonstrate patience and willingness to learn from others.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits (informational)

Pay range: $22.00 to $25.25 USD per hour. This role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan. Additional benefits include 80 hours of paid time off per year, 10 paid holidays, medical/dental/vision and basic life insurance, and access to the Company's 401(k) plan.
