Position Summary
To perform welding assignments safely and effectively on a diverse line of cast parts in accordance with welding requirements, quality specifications and within dimensional tolerances.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Adheres to safety rules. Takes responsibility for and demonstrates safe work practices.
- Wears required PPE; protective shields, clothing, wrist supports, glasses and gloves during grinding operations.
- Reviews and understands written instruction to accurately determine weld requirements; effectively and accurately measure and to act on the instructions.
- Properly checks, sets-up and operates equipment in accordance with safety rules, specifications, and efficient operating instructions.
- Performs duties and related work requiring equal or lesser skills, as assigned.
- Positions and secures material properly in clamps or holding fixtures as specified. Transports parts as needed.
- Follows established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the workstation/environment
- Accurately counts, records, and visually inspects cast parts to assure compliance with specifications.
- Makes dimensional measurements on specified parts to assure compliance with specifications
Requires the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions normally acquired by completion of high school of GED. Training is on the job.
Required Skills- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follows, and interprets instructions on technique cards, code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to maintain order and chain of custody on shell molds.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 25-35 pounds.
- Sincere desire to learn and broaden their knowledge base thereby increasing their value to the company.
- Minimum 1year vocational or shop experience or equivalent combination of training and work experience; working knowledge of welding method/techniques/ skills and shop practices; tools, equipment, and materials.
- Accurately completes logs and records in a timely manner
- Foundry skills and working knowledge of foundry processes, equipment and materials or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time.

Benefits- For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $32.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.
- For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter .
- Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.
