The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment, including medications, as prescribed by the physician. The role includes safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care.
Shifts AvailableFull‑Time | PM | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Monday - Thursday
Expected starting wage range is $32.01 - $39.56. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) program and current licensure
- Current CPR/BLS certificate
- Minimum age of 18 years
- CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification (hands‑on course) on date of employment or prior, maintained throughout employment
- Successful completion of post‑offer physical examination, two‑step PPD test, acceptable criminal background, excluded party sanctions, and license verification. If driving is required, a valid driver license, motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance must be provided and maintained.

Eligible employees (20+ hours per week) earn PTO each pay period for vacation and personal needs, with pro‑rated accrual for part‑time schedules and annual carryover up to established caps. - Nine paid holidays & shift differentials for hourly staff (6 % for PM shift, 10 % for overnight shift); weekend shift differentials for hourly staff (5 % for weekend AM shift, 11 % for weekend PM shift, 15 % for weekend overnight shift).

Alameda County Youth CSU is a Crisis Stabilization Unit serving youth populations within Alameda County. These programs provide screening, triage, medication support, and brief treatment in a safe, protective setting, sometimes co‑located with acute inpatient programs to allow a warm hand‑off transfer when needed. The typical length of stay is up to 24 hours.
