Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T‑Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and continually deepen customer relationships. They learn to uncover customer needs and educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions, preparing for the next level as a Mobile Expert.

The role is a learning role, with new associates working with their team and proactively building skills and proficiencies to move up.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world‑class customer experience and building loyalty by helping customers continue where they left off in their shopping journey—whether online, through Customer Care, or in‑store; exploring individual needs and providing hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology; side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare‑bones device and service plan; and approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
  • Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to actively demonstrate how our ever‑expanding coverage stacks up in customers’ neighborhoods; why T‑Mobile plans and services allow customers to live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected, and go further; complete training on the in‑store experience, new skills and processes, and knowledge of systems and reference resources; and make the most of shift time by consistently seeking information between customers and learning about innovations in wireless and technology.
  • Establish relationships with and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service, to collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues, creating a seamless, run‑around‑free environment; successfully identify and hand off small business leads; support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred (Required)

  • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun while serving customers (Required)
  • Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment (Required)

Hourly base pay: $20.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Upon completion, they promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year, varying with performance and full‑time status. All employees are guaranteed a base of $20 per hour inclusive of incentives, and all eligible employees may receive an annual stock grant.
