Position Description:
Seeking a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Leandro, CA. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a dynamic work environment where you ll ensure the effective, efficient, and timely maintenance and repair of commercial properties. You will travel to various customer sites within the local territory, performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Your role involves a diverse set of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and more. You will also engage directly with clients to provide high-quality service, uphold safety standards, and contribute to maintaining professional and appealing facilities.
Top Requirements:
- HS diploma or equivalent; certifications or experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or trades preferred.
- 2-5 years of general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and relevant certifications/licenses.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform multiple trades.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with handheld devices, work order systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and safety policies.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
