10 is currently seeking an Android Software Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in San Leandro, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
In this role, the candidate will consult on complex initiatives for software engineering. The position focuses on Android application front-end development using Kotlin and involves working within a scrum team on retail applications. This person will review and analyze large-scale software engineering challenges and contribute to their resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering
- Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
- Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel
Requirements:
- 5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education
- 4 years of Android development in a team or corporate/enterprise environment
- 3 years of Kotlin Development, Reactive Programming, coroutines, Dependency Injection (Dagger), Retrofit and, Jetpack architecture component
- Technical degree or additional experience
Desired skills:
- Fintech or banking experience
- Example applications in the app stores
Pay range: $69.84 - $77.84 per hour
