About this Role:
As a Regional Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring service continuity for our San Leandro and Berkeley divisions. This position is designed for transportation professionals who value flexibility and operational excellence. You will be assigned routes as needed, assist with high-priority assignments, and handle long-distance trips—such as same-day travel between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

You will operate multiple vehicle types, respond to changing assignments, and deliver professional, courteous service to every passenger. Key Responsibilities Safely and professionally operate multiple types of company vehicles across various contracted service areas, adapting to changing operational needs, including same-day schedule or route adjustments.
Provide local and long-distance transportation services, including extended intercity trips (e.g., San Francisco to San Diego) with same day return when required.
Accurately complete daily trip manifests, either electronically via onboard tablet/computer or in written form, depending on location requirements.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain working knowledge of assigned service area geography, routes, and passenger demographics
Make scheduled stops to safely board and de-board passengers.
Assist passengers with mobility devices, ensuring wheelchairs, scooters, and other aids are properly secured.
Communicate immediately with dispatch regarding delays, deviations, overloads, incidents, passenger concerns, medical or behavioral issues, and mechanical or electrical problems.
Collect fares (when applicable), provide accurate service information, and communicate/enforce company policies and passenger guidelines respectfully.
Complete clear, timely reports for accidents, incidents, and passenger interactions as required.
Operate and monitor onboard technology systems, including tablets, mobile computers, fare equipment, destination signage, and camera systems.
Behind-the-wheel training for new operators and refresher training for current employees; support additional site-specific training as needed.
Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and available to work at all assigned locations, including routes requiring travel over bridges and through tunnels.
Perform other duties as assigned to support safe and efficient operations.
Minimum Education & Certifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Possess or have the ability to obtain CDL Operator’s license with required endorsementsFMCSA Compliance Notice (Non‑Domiciled CDL Holders)
In accordance with the FMCSA Interim Final Rule effective September 29, 2025, applicants who hold or intend to obtain a non‑domiciled CLP/CDL must meet the following federal requirements:
Eligibility is restricted to individuals in H‑2A, H‑2B, or E‑2 visa categories. Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) alone are no longer sufficient for CDL issuance or renewal.
