Job SummaryThe Senior Warehouse Associate assists Warehouse Management in supporting daily warehouse logistics to operate at maximum efficiency. This position is the "go-to" for the department and assists with training new staff on various tasks such as shipping and receiving, inventory management, and customer order fulfillment. The role is expected to adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
Core Responsibilities Order Fulfillment- Manage order pulling by pulling customer orders from warehouse shelves, ensuring accuracy based on item number, serial numbers, size, quantity, etc.
- Pulling and loading for Supply Sight.
- Manage Will Calls.
- Perform checks and balances to confirm physical inventory counts match the inventory records, including regular cycle counts (1st count).
- Receive warehouse orders, inspect items received, match deliveries to purchase orders, log received items into the warehouse management system and follow up on delayed orders.
- Promptly load and unload palletized freight; move products and supplies from receiving or storage area to shipping or other designated areas.
- Organize and maintain stock orders prior to shelving.
- Stock shelves in an efficient and organized way.
- Perform checks and balances to confirm physical inventory counts match the inventory records, including 2nd cycle count.
- Handle non-conforming products per company policies and OSHA/internal protocols.
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (Warehouse Cleaning & Organization).
- Maintain warehouse shelving for optimal operational efficiency, checking shelf-life for expiration and disposing inventory per health and safety standards.
- Ensure warehouse facility and work area remain clean; practice good housekeeping habits that promote a healthy, safe environment.
- Safely operate motorized forklift and standard warehouse equipment; conduct daily checkpoint inspections for proper and safe operation.
- Manage shipment and receipt of all products, materials and supplies via UPS, Fed Ex and other freight companies.
- Label orders and prepare for shipping while properly handling hazardous and non-hazardous items per OSHA and internal protocols.
- Perform final inspection before products are shipped out.
- Promote operational excellence and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction; perform quality assurance checks.
- Inspect products for defects and damages.
- Proactively involve Operations Manager to address issues, inventory and supplies needs, ensuring proper product certifications and safety data sheets are included on each order where applicable.
- Must be Hazmat Certified and oversee packing and shipping of hazardous materials.
- Conduct warehouse observations, demonstration lessons/best practices, and provide feedback to employees.
- Train and mentor employees in accordance with SOPs and ensure they receive appropriate training to perform job duties.
- Coach employees to enhance, support, and facilitate their individual development and growth.
- Assist Operations Manager with directing daily warehouse duties and responsibilities based on SOPs.
- Perform warehouse audits of the operations, processes, and inventory management to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Communicate with Operations Manager to provide updates and promptly report any issues.
- Perform administrative tasks related to paperwork, credit card processing, shipping (Haz Certified) & verifications, unconfirmed shipments, etc.
