Overview
Reporting to the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Director, the Administrative Support Coordinator is responsible for both coordination and administrative support duties and is a shared joint position between Cal Poly Scholars, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), and TRIO Achievers. The incumbent provides administrative support in the day-to-day operations of Cal Poly Scholars, EOP and TRIO Achievers; assists in the supervision of student assistants;
assists in the budget tracking and purchasing for the department(s); provides comprehensive support for issues that are complex in nature; plans, organizes, coordinates and provides clerical support and services; and is responsible for implementation, participation and coordination of the EOP and TRIO Achievers admissions and application process.

Within the division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, Residential Student Experience, Equity and Transition (RESET) provides comprehensive programs that offer transition and retention services to students. These programs include Cal Poly Scholars, Career Services, Center for Military Connected Students, Disability Resource Center, Educational Opportunity Program, Residential Student Experience, TRIO Achievers, and Upward Bound.
Key Qualifications- Ability to interpret, communicate and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgement and discretion to act when precedents do not exist.
- Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
- Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluated proposed solutions.
- Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference.
- Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
- High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Five years general office support or technical experience (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for the years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience).
Anticipated Hiring Range: $53,448 - $66,456 Per Year
Classification Range: $52,404 - $76,344 Per Year

The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
