Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Residential Student Experience (RSE), the Administrative Analyst, is responsible for providing analytical, and technical support to the Director of RSE, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and the department. This position provides support in analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of various administrative operations to support overall operations. Administrative operations include budget support, assessment, data analytics, and reporting in relation to the various areas within the department.
The incumbent advises department senior staff and other designated leaders on programmatic goals and serves as an internal resource on policy and procedural matters and supports or coordinates projects and initiatives.
This is a full-time position and is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, vision and CalPERS retirement.
Department Summary
Resident Student Experience (RSE) is a department within the division of Student Affairs that provides a premier living and learning experience for over 9,000 students in residence hall and apartment-style communities. RSE strives to create a diverse and engaging experience that inspires all residents to Learn by Living.
Key Qualifications
- Working knowledge of administrative concepts, practices, and procedures for researching, developing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and programs, including data collection, evaluation, and interpretation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty.
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to understand issues and assess impact from a broad, strategic perspective.
Education and Experience
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. One year of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Salary and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range:$57,588 - $75,996 Per Year
Classification Range: $57,588 - $83,904 Per Year
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
