CCPA - Associate Program Director & Faculty

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time Associate Program Director & Open Rank Faculty in San Luis Obispo, California.

• Collaborate with program leadership to advance the vision of becoming a principal source of PAs from historically underrepresented groups who provide culturally humble care to underserved communities.
• Lead and oversee the program's holistic student admissions process.
• Oversee student academic progression, retention, and completion strategies.
• Serve as the primary on-campus contact for daily program operations and provide leadership to students, faculty, and staff.
• Develop and implement faculty onboarding, mentoring, and professional development programs.
• Engage with the community to promote the PA profession and address Central Coast primary care workforce needs.
• Lead community engagement initiatives that foster student-faculty relationships and support transition from didactic to clinical education.
• Support clinical education leadership in maintaining relationships with clinical affiliates and preceptors, including occasional site visits.
• Develop and deliver academic courses as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Academic experience appropriate for appointment at the associate or full professor level.
• Leadership experience designing, developing, or implementing medical education programs.
• Ability to articulate contributions to the program's mission and vision.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, and developing high-quality faculty in teaching, service, and scholarship
• Substantial clinical experience.

Assistant: $114,400–$143,000

Associate: $131,560–$164,450

Professor: $157,872–$197,340

+$5,000/year administrative stipend

• Sign-on bonus may be available
• Relocation assistance up to $12,000
• Opportunity to practice clinically one day per week to supplement income
