Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Accounting Part
- Time instructor for possible part-time teaching assignments in the Business Education Division

Assignments may be day, evening, or online classes on the San Luis Obispo Campus, North County Campus in Paso Robles, South County Center in Arroyo Grande, other sites within San Luis Obispo County, or Distance Education.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Master’s in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration from an accredited institution;
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis from an accredited institution;
  • AND
  • Master’s in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance or the equivalent from an accredited institution;
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration from an accredited institution;
  • AND
  • CPA license;
  • OR
  • The equivalent. If your transcript doesn’t note a concentration or minor listed on the minimum qualifications, please submit an equivalency petition with your application.   • OR
  • A valid Community College credential in the discipline.

Additional Requirement:

  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Desirable:

  • Strong educational background and/or experience in accounting preferred;
