women's, gender, and queer studies seeks a pool of part‑time lecturers for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Positions are determined by need and funding during the fall and/or spring semesters, which begin august 17, 2026. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience, and time base. Duties may include teaching lower‑ and/or upper‑division general education classes and/or required classes in the queer studies and/or women's & gender studies minor programs.

initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the lecturer a or b rank. As of july 2024, the classification salary ranges are:

• lecturer a: $5,507–$6,677
• lecturer b: $6,221–$13,224
• lecturer c: $6,825–$14,523
• lecturer d: $8,593–$15,221

• master's degree or abd in women's, gender, and/or queer studies; or, master's degree or abd in a related discipline with demonstrated training and knowledge (e.g., graduate concentration, certificate, and/or coursework) and/or teaching experience in women’s, gender, and/or queer studies.

• ph.d. Preferred.

• mandatory background check must be satisfactorily completed before starting work. Failure to complete satisfactorily may result in withdrawal of the offer of employment.
