Selected applicants will be interviewed to establish a pool of approved Commercial Driver's License instructors for possible part-time teaching assignments in the Continuing Education Division. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for Transportation (see below).
Assignments may be day, evening, or weekend classes at the North County Campus in Paso Robles.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A and B VOCE 770 Permit Preparation VOCE 771 Range Operation VOCE 772 On Road Skills To be considered for the Transportation discipline:
- Any Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment;
- Any Associate's degree from an accredited institution and six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment;
- The equivalent. (Candidates applying on the basis of equivalency must submit all materials requested for an equivalency judgment. For directions on what is an acceptable equivalency argument please review the requirements listed on the.)
- 8+ years of full-time professional experience in the Commercial Truck Driving industry; and current CDL Class A or B license
Required:
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Valid California Commercial Driver's License;
- Teaching experience in the discipline, community college level preferred;
- Awareness of the philosophy and objectives of California Community Colleges.
