Entry Level Engineer – Water/Wastewater (San Luis Obispo, CA)

The Assistant Engineer will support wastewater treatment, water reuse, and biosolids projects throughout California. The role works closely with Operations Managers, Principals, Project Managers, and senior technical staff on planning, design, and project delivery efforts.

• Assist with planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Support coordination with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with construction phase services including submittals, RFIs, and field support.
• Support project schedules, budgets, and quality control efforts.
• Participate in proposal development and internal training activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline.
• One to four years of experience in wastewater treatment, water reuse, or municipal engineering.
• Engineer in Training certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Familiarity with California municipal projects and regulations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Salary range: $65,000 to $80,000, based on experience and qualifications. The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits, and a supportive engineering team.
