Job Title: Lead Engineer, Quality Operating Systems

Entegris is currently seeking a Lead Engineer, Quality Operating Systems to join our San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

The position will lead the development and improvement of our quality system processes, inspire cross‑functional teams, and champion operational excellence in a dynamic, face‑paced environment. Your expertise in quality systems and process optimization will drive meaningful change in how quality is defined and achieved at Entegris, enabling the manufacturing of advanced semiconductor devices around the world.

• Drive quality management system improvement at the Entegris San Luis Obispo, CA facility in partnership with Operations, Quality, and Engineering as a member of the North America Quality Operating Systems team at Entegris.
• Identify, diagnose, and propose solutions to quality system needs at San Luis Obispo through collaborative discussion with cross‑functional team members, review of metrics/KPIs, internal audits/assessments, hands‑on observations, and structured problem‑solving tools.
• Guide cross‑functional leaders, process owners, and CAPA assignees in their quality system journey, empowering them to adopt best practices and raise QMS maturity.
• Lead quality system audit activities including conducting internal QMS audits across North America and coordinating site ISO 9001, customer, and regulatory audits at San Luis Obispo.
• Lead and/or contribute to global quality system projects to increase process performance and elevate quality standards across Entegris worldwide.
• Demonstrate excellence in planning, execution, discipline, learning, leadership, and teamwork (exemplify Entegris PACE values).

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with significant involvement in Quality Management System, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering activities.
• Passion and history of success in collaborative problem‑solving to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong initiative, organizational skills, and follow‑through.
• Ability to communicate clearly, build relationships, and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Experience working with colleagues virtually.
• Working knowledge of engineering tools such as FMEA, 8D, RCA, CAPA, SPC, and MSA.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
• Ability to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar standards (IATF 16959, AS9100, ISO 13485) preferred.
• Lead internal auditor experience and/or certification preferred.

• Compensation: $120,000 – $135,000 range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
