The primary purpose of the Engineering Technician is to leverage technical expertise and hands-on engineering and manufacturing experience to support:

• Engineering product development (initial prototyping, design iterations and improvements, testing)
• Troubleshooting and solution implementation for Engineering projects
• Transition to Limited Rate Initial Production (LRIP) introduction (i.e.
  
  - establishment of initial work instructions)
• Product Sustainment (technical support)
