Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (SEIU), Full Time, Day Shift

Adventist Health Sierra Vista, located on the Central California Coast, has been providing community care since 1959. Its 162‑bed acute care facility features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county‑designated trauma center.

Job Summary

Aids physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting invasive and non‑invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary tests. Operates x‑ray and physiologic equipment, assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and maintains equipment and records. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Requirements – Education & Experience
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (Preferred)
  • One year of catheterization experience (Preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT‑R) – Required
  • State radiologic technician (RT) license – Required
  • Current Fluoroscopy license – Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS‑BLS OR RQIBLS) certification – Required
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification – Required
Department‑Specific Certifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream ACLS (HS‑ACLS) or RQIACLS – Required
Essential Functions
  • Assist physicians with procedures; operate all special equipment, selecting and modifying technical factors as needed.
  • Monitor, record, and evaluate patient vital signs during procedures; apply radiation safety standards and maintain aseptic technique.
  • Operate, record, and maintain physiologic equipment; manage cardiac cath equipment (C‑Arm, injectors, monitoring); perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in administering opaque media via catheter or direct injection during cardiology/radiology procedures.
  • Complete required forms, record charges, and perform general office duties; keep equipment and procedure area clean and disinfected.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
