Job SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Custodial Manager, the custodian provides general cleaning, custodial care, and support for assigned campus buildings, facilities, structures, and adjacent areas. This includes, but is not limited to, campus offices, classrooms, laboratories, art rooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, locker rooms, health and childcare centers, student residences, patios, entryways, walkways, and workshops. Custodial staff may work independently or as part of a team.
ShiftTimes
Swing 5: Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 1:30am;
Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am
Swing 7: Monday - Thursday, 7:00pm - 3:30am;
Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am
Employees will receive a shift differential based on their selected or assigned shift.
Department SummaryFacilities Management and Development (FMD), within the Administration and Finance Division, oversees planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, and repair of university facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. The department emphasizes sustainability, responsible resource stewardship, and an inclusive culture valuing integrity, civility, equity, and diversity.
Key Qualifications- Ability to read and write at an appropriate level for the duties.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety.
- Operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies.
- Use custodial systems, such as work order tracking systems.
- Observe safety requirements and perform physical activities as needed.
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education demonstrating the required skills.
Salary and BenefitsAnticipated Hiring Range: $44,160 - $52,589/year
Classification Range: $44,160 - $59,412/year
