Role SummaryThe CNC Operator I supports aerospace production by safely operating CNC machines using released programs and work instructions. This role focuses on execution, inspection, and adherence to standard work in a controlled production environment. It involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into CNC machines
- Run approved CNC programs without modification
- Perform basic in‑process inspections using hand tools (calipers, gauges)
- Monitor machine operation and cycle times
- Identify and report machine faults, tool wear, or quality concerns
- Maintain clean, FOD‑free work areas
- Follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and quality requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–1 year of manufacturing or machine operation experience
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- CNC mills and/or lathes
- Hand measuring tools (calipers, rulers, go/no‑go gauges)
- Basic shop equipment and fixtures
$20 – $23 USD per hour
