We’re looking for a highly organized, process-driven Marketing Manager with a strong social media background who thrives in spreadsheets, can manage multiple moving parts, and knows how to turn trends into actionable content. Previous management experience requested.
The RoleThis part-time Marketing and Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting both marketing execution and content production. You’ll manage social channels, coordinate vendors, build systems, and support filming days through thoughtful prep and organization. This role is ideal for someone who loves structure, can manage up, and enjoys being the operational backbone of creative work.
This is a hybrid contractor position, and we’re seeking someone local to San Luis Obispo County to support occasional in-person production and collaboration. In person hours can range from 2-4 hours/week.
Key Responsibilities Social Media & Content Management- Post, schedule, and manage content across social media platforms
- Monitor performance and assist with optimization and reporting
- Stay up to date on social trends and viral formats
- Research trending topics, viral hooks, and platform-specific content styles
- Create briefing sheets for shoots, including hooks, angles, talking points, and goals
- Support filming days as needed (logistics, organization, on-site assistance)
- Coordinate and manage multiple vendors and contractors
- Track timelines, deliverables, and approvals
- Maintain clear documentation and systems to keep projects moving
- Build and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and workflows
- Help improve and document internal processes
- Manage up by anticipating needs, flagging risks, and keeping leadership informed
- Assist with invoicing and basic financial tracking
- Experience using Quick Books or similar accounting tools
- Proven experience in marketing and social media management
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented; spreadsheets are your happy place
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, vendors, and timelines
- Process-driven with the ability to create structure in fast-moving environments
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a part-time capacity
- Located in San Luis Obispo County and available for occasional in-person work
