Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. One-year experience working in the health care field.
3. Current California RN license in good standing.
4. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
5. Valid California driver's license and compliance with CDE Pupil Transportation Driver Qualifications.
6. Incumbents must obtain specialized health care training given by the school nurse within 90 days of employment.
7. Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice fingerprint clearance as required by California Education Code.
8. Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

This recruitment is to fill a current vacancy as well as establish an eligibility list for future openings within 6 months. RN positions with SLOCOE work with Special Education and/or Alternative Education. All applicants must meet minimum qualifications in order to be considered. Please review the job description carefully before applying to ensure you meet the job requirements. While you will have a "home base" campus to foster consistent relationships with students and staff, you will also serve as a mobile resource for the county, traveling to various school sites to ensure comprehensive care and coverage.

When travel between sites is required, mileage will be reimbursed at the standard federal rate. SLOCOE does not participate in Social Security but contributes to PERS (Public Employees Retirement System). Benefits include medical, dental, vision & life insurance, and paid sick, vacation and personal leave.
