Overview

Responsibilities
  • Provide unit‑based leadership in the ER, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
  • Ensure cost‑effective, professional care that supports positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining patient safety.
  • Assess and take steps to improve the quality of the patient experience and unit performance.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and support care planning and workflow optimization.
Requirements
  • Active California RN license (or eligibility) required.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Prior ER nursing experience or nurse‑lead/charge experience in a similar unit recommended.
  • RN degree from an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor’s degree acceptable).
  • Ability to work 12‑hour day shifts in a fast‑paced ER environment and lead a diverse care team.
  • Proficient documentation and computer skills; strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
