Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN Nurse Lead – Medical ICU (MICU) to provide unit-based leadership in a high-acuity setting. This role partners closely with leadership and clinical teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes, staff coordination, and a strong culture of safety and quality.

Schedule
  • Shift: Day Shift
  • Hours:

    12-hour shifts
  • Weekly: 36 hours

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide unit-based leadership in the MICU
  • Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary staff
  • Coordinate patient care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure patient safety, quality outcomes, and high satisfaction
  • Participate in staffing decisions, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Address patient care issues and improve overall patient experience
  • Support staff development, training, and performance coaching
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)
  • Active California RN License (required)
  • Supervisory experience or strong leadership skills (required)
  • 5+ years clinical experience (preferred)
  • Master’s Degree (preferred)
Certifications
  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (required)
  • TNCC (required)
  • Additional specialty or leadership certifications (preferred)
Work Environment
  • High-acuity Medical ICU setting
  • Leadership role with both clinical and administrative responsibilities
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Compliance Requirements
  • Must meet vaccination requirements (medical/religious exemptions may apply)
  • Participation in E-Verify required
  • Adherence to all patient safety, regulatory, and organizational standards
