- Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients with accuracy and compassion.
- Monitor patient conditions and document vital signs, changes, and interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to develop care plans.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies per protocols.
- Identify and elevate safety concerns; participate in safety drills and audits.
- Meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based coverage plans.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Engage in continuous learning to advance clinical skills and specialty knowledge.
- Assist in discharge planning and patient and family education.
- Maintain on-site presence, ensure timely patient flow and efficient bed utilization.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and report outcomes.
- Registered nurse license valid in the job location.
- Proven experience in PCU or acute care nursing.
- Accurate vital signs monitoring and documentation in EHR systems.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per hospital protocol.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and care teams.
- Strong patient safety mindset; active participation in drills and audits.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Quality improvement participation with ability to track outcomes.
- Capacity management and bed utilization coordination on site.
