Overview

Registered Nurse, CVICU travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,919–$2,000. Guaranteed hours:

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in CVICU/ICU with multi‑system issues, including ventilation, neuro/trauma, respiratory support, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; monitor patient status and document progress in the medical record.
  • Manage ventilated patients and invasive monitoring; interpret hemodynamic data; respond promptly to clinical changes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other care team members; coordinate care across shifts and disciplines.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice to maintain safe, high‑quality care.
  • Uphold infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current RN license (or eligibility) to practice in the United States.
  • CVICU/ICU critical care nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts; flexible to travel assignment schedule.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard patient documentation.
