Overview

Registered Nurse – Endoscopy is needed for a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range is $2,636–$2,762. Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week. Shift is 4x10 rotating. Work setting: hospital-style environment supporting bronchoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients during bronchoscopy, EUS, and EBUS procedures; recognize changes in physiological and psychological status
  • Manage patient recovery after sedation; assess for post-procedure complications and ensure discharge criteria are met
  • Provide clear, concise discharge instructions and follow-up plans for patients and families
  • Interpret diagnostic measures (laboratory tests, radiology results, EKGs) and apply nursing judgment to the care plan
  • Maintain familiarity with equipment and supplies used for procedures; ensure proper cleaning, handling, and infection control practices
  • Collaborate with the procedural team to support patient safety and comfort throughout the endoscopy workflow
Requirements
  • Active RN license (California)
  • Endoscopy-related experience or exposure (bronchoscopy, EUS, EBUS) preferred
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Education:

    nursing degree from an accredited program
  • Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment with rotating schedules and to obtain necessary credentials
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient education skills
