Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients on-site.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Assist with and monitor labor progression, fetal monitoring, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with obstetric team to develop and update care plans.
  • Adhere to evidence-based practices and hospital protocols.
  • Uphold professional development goals and pursue ongoing learning opportunities.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
  • Participate in performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain stock and manage supplies in the obstetric unit.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Current RN license with obstetric or Maternity Nursing certification.
  • Proven Labor & Delivery experience in high-risk or standard obstetric units.
  • Ability to monitor fetal well-being and manage labor progression essentials.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based obstetric protocols and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and accurate incident reporting.
  • Strong team collaboration with obstetricians and neonatal staff.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Capability to educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
  • Resilience to work in a performance-driven, metric-focused environment.

    Inventory management and supply chain awareness in an obstetric unit.
