The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients predominantly in the management of diabetes, including initiation and titration of insulin by pen or insulin pumps .
The NP will provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical clinic conferences, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered
$93.81- $133.97/hourly

- BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association- required
- Graduation from accredited School of Nursing with MSN/DNP with a NP Specialty – required
- Current, valid CA Nurse Practitioner License and CA RN License-required
- National Board Certification in NP specialty-required
- State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required
- Demonstrated skill in delivery of patient care
-required - Demonstrated work experience of in the management of outpatient medical problems- required
- Ability to utilize Excel, word, and other software programs-required
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel-required
- Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required
- Ability to set priorities-required
- Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence-required
- Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
