• Acute care unit leadership role within a travel assignment

• Provide unit-based leadership, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel across assigned shifts.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, and physicians to develop and revise care plans for optimal patient outcomes.
• Direct and monitor nursing care to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and patient satisfaction; participate in direct patient care as needed.
• Conduct rounds to assess patient care needs; introduce self to patients and families; solicit feedback on care and service.
• Promote patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual needs.
• Develop and implement improvement strategies with leadership to enhance patient experience and outcomes on the unit.

• Active RN license in California
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required;
  Master’s Degree preferred
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of nursing experience; 2+ years supervisory/charge nurse experience required
• Certifications:
  
  BLS (AHA/ARC) required; ACLS (AHA/ARC) required; NRP (AHA/ARC) required;
  Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within last 2 years
• Department-specific licenses/certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM (as described); charge nurse experience required
• Night shift experience; ability to work in a high-acuity acute care setting
• No on-call required

• Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule
• No on-call requirement
