+ Special Training: RNFA Credentialing Completed/signed by provider within 3 months of hire within each specialty. Cross train to all period roles within 6 months of hire.

+ Reports to the Director of Surgical Services.

+ Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical patients.

+ Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including supervision of OR Technicians.

+ Directly assists surgeon intraoperatively, assists with patient positioning and directing other surgical team members while practicing perioperative nursing.

* + Three (3) years Perioperative Practice experience

+ Experience in both scrub and circulating RN roles

+ Registered Nurse: CA RN License

+ Basic Life Support - CPR BLS

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS

+ Certified Nurse Operating Room - CNOR

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS within 6 - months

** Preferred*
* + Previous first assist experience

+ Experience as RN and First Assist in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures and urology highly preferred
