Assistant Nurse Manager

Leads and promotes the provision of quality patient care for the assigned clinical service:

+ Demonstrates effective technical nursing skills as documented in unit skills checklists.

Prepares for and directs patient care assignments based on acuity and competency of personnel.

+ Ensures screening, evaluation, treatment of patients results in appropriate service delivery, positive clinical outcomes.

+ Participates in hiring, training, coaching and termination of staff, as assigned by Director.

+ Effectively supervises, orients, trains and evaluates staff ensuring effective staff performance and high standards of care.

+ Identifies ongoing training needs of staff, plans annual in-services, classes and training.

+ Oversees staff competency assessment and development process.

** Job Requirements*
* ** Required*
* + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

+ Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in related unit

+ Demonstrated leadership skills

+ Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)

+ Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days

** Preferred*
* + BSN preferred

+ Preferred experience would be cath lab, critical care
