Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule:

Day/Evening, 5 x 8s, M - F, 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM. Open to 4 x 10s, schedule and start times rotate.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per policy (preferred)
• One year previous full-time experience in the operating room
• ACLS certification (required)
• Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience (required)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures.
• Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during operations.
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
• Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.
• Apply aseptic technique principles consistently.
• Document patient care processes and effectively use facility information systems.

Compliance / Notes:

Call is required at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule. Potentially more based on need.
