+ Initials accurate and ongoing assessments of physical and psychosocial problems of patient.

+ Performs appropriate and age specific triage on all patients within 5 minutes of arrival to ED including chief complaint, v.s., time and signature.

+ Assignment of level of triage as appropriate based on brief history and indicated vital signs. Performs and documents appropriate nursing history and physical admission on an ongoing basis.

+ Performs and documents age specific basic physiological condition of the patient to include; mental status, skin signs, pain level and complaint specific information.

+ Reflects psychosocial needs of the patient.

+ Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his health problem(s) and his expectations of the present hospitalization.

* + Graduate of an accredited RN program

+ Registered Nurse: CA RN License

+ Basic Life Support - CPR BLS

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS, within 90 Days

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS, within 90 Days

** Preferred*
* + Previous Emergency Department experience
