Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Emergency Department Nurse

Provides specialized nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, urgent treatment, and discharge planning for patients of all ages. Ensures patient safety, manages emergency cases, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

• Perform comprehensive triage assessments on all ED patients and promptly notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Administer medications and therapies accurately, including blood products and medications, following safety protocols.
• Recognize and respond to critical situations such as cardiac or respiratory distress, initiating appropriate interventions.
• Interpret ECG rhythms, manage life-threatening emergencies, and coordinate care during Code Blue, Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma responses.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and education clearly and timely in electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families on medication effects, discharge instructions, and necessary follow-up care.

• Hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Demonstrate at least one year of acute care experience in an emergency setting.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Exhibit proficient skills in emergency nursing procedures, ECG interpretation, and critical interventions.
