RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights, Mandatory Call)

San Luis Obispo, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 hours per week | Onsite | Scheduling based on unit needs (no block scheduling)

• Plan and provide nursing care to patients and families during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
• Respond to and manage emergency obstetric situations as they arise
• Circulate for Cesarean Section (C-Section) procedures
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
• Monitor fetal heart rates and interpret findings using intermediate fetal monitoring skills; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN certification required

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent required
• Minimum two (2) years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC approved required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – AHA or ARC approved required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Position is represented by CNA

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• AWHONN certification or Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
