We are looking for motivated, independent professionals who are passionate about public service. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in a certified environmental laboratory (TNI/ELAP preferred) and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance for drinking water and wastewater systems.
- Hands‑on field and analytical experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, or landfill monitoring.
- Team skills—able to guide, mentor, and promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Technical expertise with advanced laboratory instruments (wet chemistry, ion chromatography, metals analysis, TOC).
A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
All levels: Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with a degree in chemistry, biology, bacteriology, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
Water Systems Chemist I: No additional experience.
Water Systems Chemist II: Two years experience as a Water Systems Chemist I or an equivalent position.
