Lead Laborer - Facilities Management and Development

Under direct supervision of the Support Services Manager, this position oversees, plans and forecasts the work of Laborer staff engaged in manual laborer tasks, custodial support, moving support, landscape, and event support.

This position acts in a lead capacity and is responsible for directing the work of one or more employees engaged in laborer tasks.

• Respond to or support laborer staff in the immediate response to safety and/or operational concerns.
• Assist the Support Services Manager with the daily planning and scheduling of laborer tasks and projects.
• Assign work to others according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Oversee and work with a crew of employees engaged in laborer related tasks.
• Move, transport, load and unload heavy objects such as furniture, equipment, materials and supplies.

Any combination of training, experience, and/or education sufficient to demonstrate the required qualifications.

Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license or the ability to obtain one by date of hire.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $46,000 - $60,000 per year
