Ensures information is provided to Master Teachers, administrators, and teachers regarding curriculum materials and instructional programs; facilitates the maintenance of records, and ensures the completion of department projects.

The job of Executive Master Teacher is done for the purpose/s of providing professional development services and assisting with curriculum development; collaborating with Master Teachers, Administrators, and other professional staff in addressing instructional and/or curricular needs. Ensures information is provided to Master Teachers, administrators, and teachers regarding curriculum materials and instructional programs; facilitates the maintenance of records, and ensures the completion of department projects.
This job reports to Professional Development Director.
Essential Functions- Analyzes a variety of program related information (e.g. school improvement data, goal setting, classroom walk-throughs, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and support, making recommendations, and/or ensuring overall outcomes are at required district standards.
- Assesses school progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to Master Teachers and the Administrators.
- Coaches Master Teachers for the purpose of improving performance, problem solving techniques, and a variety of issues for professional development.
- Demonstrates methods required to perform classroom and/or subject specific assignments (e.g. co-teaching, professional development sessions, etc.) for the purpose of providing an effective program that addresses teacher professional development for increasing student achievement.
- Lead teacher development activities (e.g. providing training, assisting with professional development, identifying training needs, etc.) for the purpose of meeting district and state requirements.
- Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g. state assessments, literacy test, best practices, district reports, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information for the district and regulatory agencies.
- Provides instruction in the area of faculty professional development (e.g. in-services, new teacher induction, best practices, substitute teacher training, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the district faculty are up to date in instructional initiatives, regulatory updates, and credentialing.
- Researchers a variety of subjects related to professional development (e.g. trends in teacher training, new instructional practices, etc.) for the purpose of implementing procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and to help faculty remain current in professional development.
- Collaborates with internal and external personnel (e.g. other administrators, other school leaders, staff, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a cohesive environment.
- Facilitates the development, communication, implementation, and evaluation of quality learning for the purpose of enhancing excellence, equality and equity for the staff and students.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, seminars (e.g. state updates, staff meetings, conferences, etc.) for the purpose of gathering information required to perform functions.
- Implements policies, procedures and/or processes for the purpose of providing direction and/or complying with mandated requirements.
- Prepares a wide variety of materials (e.g. reports, correspondence, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
- Presents information (e.g. training material, school feedback, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback and ensuring adherence to established internal protocols.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Job related experience within a specialized field is required.
EducationMaster's degree in job-related area preferred.
EquivalencyBA, BS in Education with increasing levels of satisfactory job-related experience.
