Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Marcos, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient operations. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Manage the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts.

- Conduct month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice management and payment tracking.

- Perform credit card reconciliations and handle chargebacks efficiently.

- Execute 3-way matching procedures to verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date account balances.

- Utilize Dynamics software to streamline accounting tasks and maintain organized records.

- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and ensure compliance.

- Address financial inquiries and provide support during audits as needed. Requirements - Proven experience with journal entries and general ledger management.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Familiarity with Dynamics software and its application in accounting.

- Ability to perform accurate credit card reconciliations and handle chargebacks.

- Experience with 3-way matching and resolving invoice discrepancies.

- Proficiency in account and bank reconciliations.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
