Bilingual Collections Representative

Description

A growing environmental services company is looking for a Bilingual Collections Representative to join its accounting department. This position is ideal for someone who can confidently communicate with customers in both English and Spanish while helping resolve outstanding balances and maintain strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate is professional, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing a high-volume portfolio of commercial accounts.

Responsibilities

Collections & Customer Accounts

+ Contact commercial customers regarding outstanding invoices by phone and email

+ Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts

+ Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate timely resolutions

+ Establish payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships

+ Maintain detailed account notes and collection activity within the accounting system

Accounts Receivable Support

+ Apply customer payments and reconcile account balances

+ Partner with billing and customer service teams to resolve disputes

+ Assist with month-end accounts receivable reporting

+ Prepare collection summaries for management review

Requirements

+ Bilingual in English and Spanish required

+ 2+ years of commercial collections or accounts receivable experience

+ Experience working in environmental services, transportation, construction, or industrial industries preferred

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

+ Strong negotiation, customer service, and communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
