Invoice & Payment Analyst
A busy commercial construction company in San Marcos is looking for an Invoice & Payment Analyst to support its accounting and project teams. This role is perfect for someone who likes investigating discrepancies instead of simply processing transactions. You'll work with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and Accounting to make sure project-related invoices are accurate and properly accounted for.
Your day could include:
- Review subcontractor and vendor invoices
- Match invoices to purchase orders and contracts
- Verify job numbers, cost codes, quantities, and pricing
- Research discrepancies between invoices and project records
- Communicate with Project Managers regarding approvals
- Follow up with vendors regarding missing documentation
- Enter approved invoices into the accounting system
- Track outstanding invoices and approvals
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliation
- Prepare AP aging and payment reports
- Support month-end close and accruals
- Maintain organized project accounting documentation
- Assist with audit and year-end requests
