Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an administrative assistant or related experience

Job Description

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction is seeking a skilled and motivated individual for a full‑time staff position. This role provides administrative and clerical support to faculty, staff, and students in the department. The position is in‑person at the San Marcos campus.

  • Support faculty and staff by addressing program tasks and requests.
  • Work closely with program coordinators to maintain up‑to‑date schedules and documentation for class schedules.
  • Serve as travel assistant to complete requests, reimbursements, and expense reports in Concur for faculty and student travel.
  • Assist with purchasing supplies, equipment, and processing special payments.
  • Answer department emails, address student concerns, enter override requests, assist with registration, and refer to other offices when necessary.
  • Support the department office by greeting students, faculty, and guests; routing phone calls; answering inquiries; and handling or delegating assignments.
  • Maintain equipment and supply inventories by ordering, stocking, and recording materials needed.
  • Schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate student workers.
  • Collect and submit documents for hiring of students and faculty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
