Job Overview
Under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant supports multiple functional areas with the Alumni Engagement & University Events department, including Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving, Events and Conference Services, Commencement and Community Outreach. This position independently provides a full range of office and administrative and office support to the AVP of Alumni Engagement & University Events ensuring efficient day-to-day operation of the department while also providing occasional general event support.
The Administrative Assistant serves as a key administrative resource for the department and independently coordinates administrative processes, event support, and program logistics for the functional areas within the department.
As the first point of contact for the Alumni Engagement office, the Administrative Assistant manages phone, email, and in‑person communications with alumni, donors, university partners, vendors, and other external constituencies. The incumbent must be able to interact with staff, administrators, and high‑level external constituents in a fast‑paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial in this position.

Pay, Benefits, and Work ScheduleAnticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,565 - $4,015 per month (step 1 - step
7)
CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,565 - $5,092 per month
Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
