Hunter Industries is seeking an eCommerce Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day execution and optimization of Hunter’s direct-to-consumer operations. This role partners cross-functionally with logistics, marketing, customer service, and merchandising teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment, inventory integrity, compliant and optimized digital content, and seamless campaign execution. By managing operational workflows across platforms, monitoring performance, and identifying usability and process issues, the eCommerce Operations Specialist helps deliver reliable, compliant, and high-quality customer experience while supporting revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports consumer product launches by managing pricing, product data accuracy, and system readiness, including UPC’s, product descriptions, specifications, and bundle or kit configurations across DTC, retail and marketplace platforms.
  • Monitors inventory levels and system synchronization across eCommerce platforms to ensure daily eCommerce operations run smoothly supporting accurate order processing and minimizing fulfillment issues.
  • Partners with logistics and operations teams to support order fulfillment and returns workflows, coordinating with external 3PL providers and internal systems to resolve operational issues.
  • Monitors eCommerce platforms and integrations to identify issues impacting site performance, order flow, or customer experience and coordinate resolution with internal technical teams and vendors.
  • Supports consumer inquiries related to website, product listings, orders, and returns by coordinating with internal customer service, logistics, and technical resources.
  • Measures and reports on sales trends, product performance, and operational metrics to support inventory planning, pricing accuracy, merchandising effectiveness and fulfillment optimization.
  • Ensures warranty information, return policies, and product descriptions comply with Hunter’s consumer standards across all direct-to-consumer channels.
  • Maintains site-wide digital content and execute promotional updates, including navigational, products, and campaign related content, applying digital merchandising best practices to support marketing initiatives and product launches.
  • Researches and applies eCommerce operations and digital merchandising best practices and recommend execution level improvements that enhance the consumer experience, support operational efficiency, and ensure consistent site performance.
  • Implements SEO best practices to enhance site and product visibility in search rankings while ensuring compliance with web accessibility and compliance standards.

Education/Training

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience Required and Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce operations, digital merchandising, or online retail operations.

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge of direct-to-consumer eCommerce operations, including product data management, inventory coordination, order fulfillment, and digital merchandising.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Big Commerce, or other online marketplaces.
  • Ability to monitor inventory data, system synchronization, and order flows to support accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Experience executing website and product content updates using a content management system.
  • Ability to analyze sales, product, and campaign performance and communicate insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with logistics, marketing, customer service, and technical teams.
  • Ability to identify operational or usability issues, assess impact, and support timely resolution.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and web accessibility or compliance standards.
  • Experience supporting digital campaigns through executional updates to site content, promotions, pricing, and discount codes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
