Class A Laborer; CDL

Overview

Position:
Class A Laborer CDL, Telecom Underground Team at VCI Construction. Responsible for leading small teams, performing advanced construction tasks and ensuring safety and quality.

• Perform highly skilled construction tasks such as loading, delivering, excavating, and operating advanced equipment for underground projects.
• Install and maintain complex underground telecommunications cable with precision and adherence to project specifications.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on construction equipment.
• Assist supervisors with project plans, material management, and task prioritization.
• Provide support to small work groups to meet project goals on time and follow safety standards.
• Complete and verify detailed production reports to maintain accurate project records.
• Assist with site restoration, final grading, and landscaping.
• Identify and address potential safety and operational issues proactively.
• Train and mentor Level I and II laborers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Age 18 or older.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in underground telecommunications construction or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, job plans, and technical specifications.
• Strong independent work capability and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Wage range: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour.
