Regulatory Compliance Specialist
A construction-focused organization in Escondido, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Subcontractor Compliance Specialist for a temporary opportunity supporting public works and prevailing wage projects. This role is ideal for a compliance professional with experience reviewing certified payroll, monitoring subcontractor documentation, and helping project teams stay aligned with state and federal labor requirements.
The Subcontractor Compliance Specialist will work closely with internal project teams and subcontractors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This opportunity offers meaningful exposure to public works compliance, construction labor documentation, and audit-ready recordkeeping within a collaborative team setting.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, track, and review certified payroll reports submitted by subcontractors.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with prevailing wage, public works, and labor documentation requirements.
- Follow up on missing paperwork, payroll discrepancies, wage rate issues, and required corrections.
- Verify wage classifications and rates in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements.
- Maintain accurate compliance records for audits, project reporting, and contract documentation.
- Support project teams with subcontractor compliance processes on public works construction projects.
- Pay: $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
