Nontenure Faculty Pool - Mathematics Department
The College of Science and Engineering seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in the Department of Mathematics

Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based on student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.
This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2025/2026 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. Positions are subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field and 18 graduate hours in mathematics.
- Candidate’s degree in a closely related field must meet SACS accreditation standards to teach in a mathematics department.
- A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education.
- Previous teaching experience.
