The Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for a pool of part‑time lecturers. The applicant pool is used to fill short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across campus, with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a full semester.
Recruitment TimelineApplications are accepted and reviewed throughout the 2026/2027 academic year. The pool will be closed effective May 31.
Minimum Qualifications- A master’s degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or a related field
- California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy requires employment within the State of California.
- A doctorate degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or a related field
- At least one year of teaching experience at the university or community college level
- Experience teaching courses in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or a related field
- Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community
- Lecturer A – AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full‑time month
- Lecturer B – AY: $6,221 - $13,224 per full‑time month
Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
