The Department of Computer Science at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach CIS 341:
Computer Systems Analysis and Design, a 16‑week course, in‑person, from 8/31-12/12/26, schedule TBD.

Covers the systems development life cycle, comparing traditional methods of systems development to newer emerging methods, process and data models for an information system, user interface for an information system, feasibility study and cost‑benefit analysis.

• A Bachelor of Science degree
• Experience teaching, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Information Systems using a variety of technologies and tools
• Communication and presentation skills
• Course design (capable of designing a well‑structured syllabus and selecting appropriate course materials or adapting existing materials)
• Continuous learning and adaptability (commitment to staying updated with latest techniques and developments)

• A Master of Science degree or related field or equivalent experience
• Experience teaching or mentoring students/employees in topics related to tools and technologies used in Computer Information Systems
• Experience as a course instructor or teaching assistant, especially in topics related to Computer Information Systems
• Intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.

• Anticipated Hiring Salary: $2,279 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
• CSU Classification Salary: $2,279 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
